I did not get a remote ;( This is a bit more like a bridal / wedding look garland. Was not very “holiday” type. I like it though!Smaller than I thought! The review asked about the remote control and timer - but there is no such thing with this! The beads seem to be securely fastened, so that’s good. It’s OK, it will work - but I wouldn’t buy it again. Oh - and the battery compartment is CLEAR! If it were solid white, that would be less conspicuous. Had to hide it.These look lovely on my mantle. Just be aware that they are small. I ordered 2 sets and they look great with a eucalyptus garland. They don't stand out very well on their own. Having said that, they are beautiful and were exactly what I expected. They are not remote control. I did not expect them to be, but it asked me to rate the remote control in my review so I thought I'd throw that in there so that there wasn't any confusion.Very pretty, but the beading wasn't as full as I expected. If I had seen these in person I wouldn't have paid that much for them. Also didn't come with a remote and there isn't a timer, only flashing or on/off setting.Looks very nice in pictures, however, every set I have gotten the lights are faded, right after I put up.I am changing my review of this product as I am an idiot. The lights were very dim or wouldn’t work at all. Even ordered another set. Same results!!!!!! These lights are wonderful when you use fresh batteries!!!! Boy, did I feel stupid. Gave a set to my daughter and she loves them also!!!!It's works well and adds beauty to my decorations.This string of lights is so pretty. It came wound up and it was easy to undo, easy to put batteries in and easy to hang. I’m very pleased with this product!This is really pretty, without a doubt. I only wish it was fuller. The timer works just fine, no worry having to shut it off and draining the battery.indicates warm lights and the lights were actually cool white/bright white. disappointed too, still do not have lights.I really liked the lights. They look great in my fireplace mantel
